OUR STORY
Husband and Wife team, Sean and Elemi Gayle have been residents and business owners in Newark for over 10 years. Their desire to serve the community through programming and volunteerism stems from their commitment to the belief in collective work and responsibility and the power of ancient and contemporary technologies as a tool for community development. Their purchase of the foundation headquarters is based on a desire to provide space for community engagement through arts and cultural programming as well as provide meeting space for local organizations. The foundation headquarters, a former hat factory, is being reimagined to have a gallery space, a restaurant grade kitchen and open community spaces.

OUR COMMITMENT
Our commitment to the City of Newark and its people has been made tangible through our investment into the purchase of our foundation headquarters, which will be the physical site for our cultural programming. Your donations are important, as they will not only allow us to continue providing free and affordable services to our community; but also provide support for annual programming, renovations, ongoing maintenance.
